About this Attorney
The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Davao City Chapter is the mandatory local chapter of the Philippines' national bar association, established by the Supreme Court of the Philippines. The chapter's office — the IBP Legal Resource Center — is housed within the Hall of Justice Compound on Candelaria Street in Ecoland, Talomo District, Davao City, the city's primary judicial complex.
The Hall of Justice Compound is the center of Davao City's court system, home to multiple Regional Trial Court and Metropolitan Trial Court in Cities branches. The IBP Davao City Chapter operates a court-adjacent Legal Aid Program that provides free legal representation to indigent residents whose cases fall outside the mandate of the Public Attorney's Office. The City Government of Davao funds the chapter's legal aid lawyers through an annual appropriation, enabling the chapter to maintain dedicated legal aid counsel and volunteer attorneys for judicial and quasi-judicial proceedings across criminal, family, labor, and civil matters.
The chapter regularly conducts orientation, oath-taking, and pinning ceremonies for newly admitted Philippine bar passers, and administers professional and ethical programs for its member-lawyers. As of 2025–2026, the chapter is led by President Atty. Ferdinand M. Taglucop.
